Sporting director Ralf Rangnick suggests that even a club-record offer from Liverpool for Naby Keita will not be enough to alter RB Leipzig's no-sale stance.

RB Leipzig sporting director Ralf Rangnick has insisted that the club "will definitely not" sell Naby Keita to Liverpool during the summer transfer window.

The Reds are said to be willing to pay up to £70m to sign the 22-year-old, who was one of the standout players in the German top flight in 2016-17.

Even a club-record sum looks unlikely to prise Keita away from the Red Bull Arena, however, with last season's Bundesliga runners-up Leipzig standing firm when it comes to keeping hold of their star men.

"We will definitely not be letting any key players go," he told reporters. "There's nothing that will make us budge. It's totally normal for clubs to be interested in our players, but that doesn't affect our stance on the matter."

Rangnick was speaking at the unveiling of Leipzig's latest recruit - highly-rated former Paris Saint-Germain forward Jean-Kevin Augustin.
