Liverpool striker Luis Suarez insists that he is happy at Anfield and does not want to leave the club despite speculation.

Luis Suarez has insisted that he is very happy at Liverpool and wants to stay at the club.

The 26-year-old striker, who has been linked with a move away from Anfield, reportedly said that he would leave to play Champions League football in an interview with an Uruguayan media outlet last month.

"I'll be here next season, yes," Suarez told The Times. "Not only am I playing for Liverpool, I am playing in one of the best leagues in the world.

"I am very happy and I want to see out my contract, though in football you never know quite what's ahead.

"A club can decide they don't want you even though you want to stay. In football things never turn out the way you plan."

Suarez and Liverpool take on Chelsea this afternoon.
