Championship club-by-club transfer latest: June 25

Sports Mole looks back on the transfer activity of the past seven days in the Championship.

Our summer transfer updates are into their third week and here, Sports Mole rounds up the news and gossip from the past seven days in the Championship.

Birmingham City

Lee Clark continues to get plenty done before the start of the season. The Blues have now signed nine new players following the arrival of Doncaster Rovers duo Mark Duffy and David Cotterill and striker Clayton Donaldson.

David Edgar, Gavin Gunning, Wes Thomas, Stephen Gleeson, Grant Hall and Jonathan Grounds are the other players to make the move to St Andrew's.

Blackburn Rovers

After a quiet summer so far, Gary Bowyer captured his first new player by also nabbing a Doncaster player - striker Chris Brown, who put pen to paper on a two-year contract.

Blackpool

Jose Riga is yet to bring any new faces in at Bloomfield Road, but he has started to clear out, with three players leaving on free transfers.

Neal Bishop, Chris Kettings and Craig Cathcart have all departed the Tangerines and surely new arrivals won't be far behind. One piece of good news is that Tony McMahon has signed a new contract.

Bolton Wanderers

Little going on at the Reebok, but it does look like the Trotters might struggle to bring back former loanee Lukas Jutkiewicz from Middlesbrough.

Fellow Championship clubs Derby County and Wigan Athletic are also said to be interested in signing the striker.

Bournemouth

The Cherries continue to be linked with Coventry City frontman Callum Wilson as they look to replace Lewis Grabban.

Defender Steve Cook is reportedly being eyed up by Wolves, and Bournemouth might have to offer him a new contract to keep him. Boss Eddie Howe has also admitted that Ryan Allsop could leave on loan this season.

Brentford

A new arrival at Griffin Park earlier today with the signing of Marco Tebar Ramiro, who played plenty of football in La Liga last season with Almeria.

The Bees are another side believed to fancy a move for Wilson, above right. They have also this week been linked with a move for Chelsea teenager George Cole.

Brighton & Hove Albion

One of the quietest clubs in the league this summer have been Brighton, despite the appointment of Sami Hyypia.

The Seagulls are said to have taken aforementioned Chelsea youngster Cole on trial, though.

Cardiff City

After their relegation from the Premier League last season, it is widely thought that goalkeeper David Marshall will return to the top flight next season.

Despite Southampton reportedly lining up a bid for the stopper, he is said to be willing to stay in the Welsh capital next season.

Defender Mark Hudson has also conceded that he is worried about a mass exodus at the club.

Charlton Athletic

Bob Peeters completed his first deal as Charlton boss by securing Belgian midfielder Yoni Buyens on a season-long loan from Standard Liege.

The Addicks also announced that Igor Vetokele has signed a five-year contract at The Valley after they agreed a fee with Copenhagen earlier this month.

Derby County

After his fine season in midfield last season, Craig Bryson was always going to attract interest and now Derby have confirmed that a bid from Burnley has been rejected.

The Rams haven't yet given up on George Thorne, but it looks like West Brom aren't willing to let the young midfielder go.

A right-back is an area that the club has admitted it wants to address, with Andre Wisdom unlikely to return again on loan from Liverpool.

Fulham

One new face - Adam Taggart - has arrived at Craven Cottage, but it doesn't look like the Aussie will be joined by last season's top scorer Ross McCormack of Leeds United.

Australia seems to be of particular interest as Fulham are also said to be interested in Socceroo defender Jason Davidson. The left-back is currently at the World Cup like Costa Rica's Bryan Ruiz, who is believed to intrigue both Arsenal and Sunderland.

Out-of-contract defender John Heitinga has switched to Hertha Berlin in Germany.

Huddersfield Town

Mark Robins signed his second player of the summer by bringing back former player Lee Peltier from Leeds United.

Experienced midfielder Keith Southern has gone to newly-promoted League One side Fleetwood Town with his contract at the John Smith's Stadium due to expire.

Ipswich Town

It's been very sleepy in Suffolk so far this summer, with Mick McCarthy getting very little business done early.

The Tractor Boys were beaten to the signing of Byron Webster by Millwall but are said to be one of the clubs tracking Chelsea youngster Cole. Hull City winger Cameron Stewart could also be a target.

Leeds United

The Whites now have a new man in charge after the appointment of Dave Hockaday, but they have struggled to do business in the transfer market because of a winding-up petition hanging over their heads.

That has now been dismissed by the High Court, so expect new arrivals at Elland Road in the near future. Peltier's exit is the only movement of the past seven days.

Middlesbrough

Aitor Karanka continues to have little luck in the market and it looks like they have competition from Sheffield Wednesday if they want to sign Sammy Ameobi from Newcastle United.

After spending part of last season on loan at Swansea City in the Premier League, it looks like Marvin Emnes will join the Welsh outfit permanently.

Millwall

Ian Holloway completed his third signing of the summer by edging out Ipswich and Leeds for the signature of Byron Webster, below left.

Norwich City

Yet to lose any of their biggest names, Norwich are expected to receive bids for Scottish midfielder Robert Snodgrass.

After scoring at the World Cup, Leroy Fer is another player predicted to move on this summer. However, the Dutchman has expressed his commitment to the Canaries.

One player who could be on his way to Carrow Road is former Rangers man Kyle Lafferty, who is currently with Palermo in Serie A.

Nottingham Forest

Stuart Pearce used his knowledge of the England youth setup to bag Louis Laing - once dubbed 'the next John Terry' - after his release from Sunderland.

Reading

The Royals are still looking to secure new investment ahead of the new season and therefore remain hidden in the shadows.

One player has left this week, with Daniel Carrico heading to Sevilla after a season-long loan with the La Liga club.

Rotherham United

After signing six players at the start of the summer, transfer activity at Rotherham has come to a halt. It looks as if Steve Evans has done his business early and is now preparing for life in the Championship.

Millers chairman Tony Stewart has, however, suggested that the club could break its transfer record for a second time this summer if the right player becomes available.

Sheffield Wednesday

Things are starting to happen at Hillsborough. The Owls have signed former Hull man Paul McElroy and manager Stuart Gray has also confirmed that they are interested in Sammy Ameobi.

Watford

Not too much happening at Vicarage Road, but there is one new Hornet - Craig Cathcart, who signed a two-year contract.

Wigan Athletic

The Latics are said to be interested in taking Jutkiewicz off Middlesbrough's hands, and chariman Dave Whelan has admitted that a new striker is the club's top priority.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

It looks like Wolves are probably going to miss out on Sheffield United's Harry Maguire as Premier League side Hull have joined the race to sign him.
