Derby County confirmed this morning that they have turned down a bid from Burnley for midfielder Craig Bryson.
The Rams said on their website that the undisclosed offer from newly-promoted Premier League side Burnley had been "immediately rejected".
Bryson, 27, was arguably Derby's best player last season as they finished third in the Championship and were beaten in the playoff final by Queens Park Rangers.
He scored 16 league goals from central midfield and was included in the PFA's Championship Team of the Season.
Derby also revealed that they are trying to secure his long-term future with a new contract.
