Former Juventus goalkeeper Dino Zoff recovering from health issues

World Cup-winning goalkeeper Dino Zoff is recovering from health difficulties, according to his former club Juventus.

Former Italy and Juventus goalkeeper Dino Zoff has been suffering from health difficulties but is already making a recovery, the Turin club have revealed.

The World Cup winner captained his country and led them to glory during the 1982 competition, while helping his side achieve success in the European Championship 14 years earlier.

"Juventus Football Club has recently learned that Bianconeri and Azzurri legend Dino Zoff is suffering some health difficulties, but is already on the road to recovery," a statement read on Juve's official website.

"European Championship winner in 1968 and world champion in 1982, Dino knows what it means to never give in.

"He is a strong man and a legend. We are all right behind him. #ForzaDino."

The 73-year-old won the Serie A six times, the Coppa Italia twice and helped Juve to UEFA Cup glory in 1977.
