Paul McShane's first goal since April 2011 earns Hull City an impressive victory at Nottingham Forest.

Paul McShane's first goal since April 2011 earned Hull City an impressive victory at Nottingham Forest this afternoon.

Unmarked from six yards, the Republic of Ireland defender headed home Robert Koren's corner kick 19 minutes from time.

Koren had earlier broken the deadlock with a 34th-minute penalty kick after Simon Gillett had brought down David Meyler.

Billy Sharp levelled the scores with another penalty nine minutes later, slamming home from 12 yards after being felled by Alex Bruce.

Hull were the better side after the break and McShane's headed winner was fully deserved.
