Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has informed Ruben Loftus-Cheek that his Stamford Bridge future is in his own hands.
The 25-year-old is aiming to make a name for himself in West London after spending the 2020-21 campaign on loan with Fulham, where he featured in 30 Premier League games for the now-Championship side.
However, Loftus-Cheek has been tipped to complete a move to the Bundesliga or Serie A having failed to become a consistent part of Chelsea's plans so far, but Tuchel is happy for the midfielder to decide his Blues future for himself.
Speaking to the press following his side's 2-1 friendly win over Arsenal on Sunday, Tuchel said: "It's too early to judge Ruben. He has everything in his hands. He can decide his own future."
Loftus-Cheek played 64 minutes of Sunday's encounter at the Emirates Stadium, as goals from Kai Havertz and Tammy Abraham either side of Granit Xhaka's header saw Chelsea prevail over Arsenal in the Mind Series.
The 10-cap England international has turned out 82 times in competitive action for Chelsea so far, banking 12 goals and 11 assists in the process.
