Nottingham Forest have loaned Chelsea starlet Nathaniel Chalobah until January 15.
The 18-year-old midfielder, who recently signed a new five-year deal at Stamford Bridge, impressed while on loan at Watford last season, scoring five goals in 42 appearances.
Wigan Athletic were thought to be rivalling the Hornets to take him on another short-term deal.
However, the highly-rated England Under-21 international will spend the next season at the City Ground as a replacement for Adlene Guedioura, who joined Crystal Palace in a £2.5m deal this summer.
He will be available to make his debut against Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday.
