Chelsea midfielder Ramires insists that the club still have plenty to play for, despite them recently facing criticism.

Chelsea midfielder Ramires has insisted that the Blues will aim to prove their critics wrong and win a trophy this season.

The West London outfit have been under pressure in recent weeks following interim manager Rafael Benitez's outburst regarding the negativity emanating from the club's supporters.

While the Blues are already out of the Champions League, which they won last season, and could lose a place in the top four of the Premier League, they are still in contention for the FA Cup and the Europa League trophy.

"It was around this time last year that everybody was telling us the season was lost already and we wouldn't win anything," the Daily Star quotes Ramires as saying, "Well, we all know how that ended!

"We are fighting for two competitions and we also need to make sure we get back in the Champions League, which means we have to finish in the top four.

"So until the last game is over, and there are no chances left for us to do anything, we will try to make sure we win something, as well as make our supporters happy."

The Blues are currently five points clear in fourth place in the table.
