Branislav Ivanovic thinks that Chelsea need to ensure that the heavy defeat by Arsenal should "not happen again".

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has expressed his disappointment in conceding five goals against rivals Arsenal last weekend, but insists that the Blues must show signs of recovery against Genk.

The former Premier League champions have come under criticism after suffering a 5-3 defeat at the hands of Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Despite the blow, the Serb is adamant that the side must move on and resume focus on the next game.

"The whole team is angry and we have to show the reaction and our character, to change things for us," Ivanovic told the club's official website.

"It was a big derby and when you lose you cannot be happy. As a defender I can never be happy with conceding five goals.

"The good side is we know where we made mistakes and we can try everything to make sure it does not happen again."

Andre Villas-Boas's side take on Genk in the Champions League group fixture this evening.
