Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has praised his teammate Fernando Torres after the Spanish striker netted twice during the Blues' 5-0 Champions League romp over Genk on Wednesday.
The £50m star has now scored four goals in his last three games after a six-month goal drought at the beginning of his Stamford Bridge career.
"We are all happy to see Fernando playing like this. It was a great performance and I think it is the result of all his hard work in training," Ivanovic said.
"Now he knows the right way and understands what he has to do on the pitch to be good. Everyone wants him playing like he did on Wednesday in a lot of games this season.
"It is important for the confidence of all strikers to be scoring goals, but even if Fernando doesn't score he gives assists and plays well for the team. And that is very important for us all."
Torres will miss Chelsea's Premier League clash with Queens Park Rangers on Sunday as he is still serving a three-match ban for a straight red card received against Swansea last month.
