Cesc Fabregas believes that Chelsea are getting back to their best following their emphatic 6-0 win over Qarabag FK in the Champions League.

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has claimed that the team are getting back to their best following Tuesday night's 6-0 win over Qarabag FK.

The Blues, back in the Champions League after a one-year absence, got off to the best possible start with a dominant performance against the Azeri debutants.

Antonio Conte's charges endured a difficult summer off the pitch and began their Premier League campaign with a loss to Burnley, but Fabregas believes that they are now finding their feet.

Speaking after the game, the Spaniard told BT Sport: "It's a good performance, a good result.

"You never know if goals [difference] will count at the end of the group stage. I think it's a good performance from everyone. We are getting back to our best.

"We rotated five players. We have nine games in 21 days. It's a difficult period. We weren't used to this last year as we weren't in the Champions League."

In Group C's other game, Roma and Atletico Madrid played out a goalless draw.
