Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo refuses to bemoan his side's potential fixture pile-up in the coming season as the Blues will be participating in seven competitions.

Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has said that he is not worried about the potential fixture pile-up that his side faces next season.

The Blues find themselves in seven competitions having won the Champions League last season, the most in the club's history, but Di Matteo believes that their involvement in so many tournaments should be seen as a positive thing.

"They're opportunities. It's very hard to be involved in those competitions," said the Italian.

"When you look at them, it's great to be involved and you want to win these trophies because they don't come around very often.

"That's how we look at it. We'll deal with the fixture list."

In addition to tomorrow's Community Shield match against Manchester City, Chelsea will also be competing in the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League, European Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
