Frank Fielding "looking forward" to renewing Nottingham Forest rivalry

Bristol City's Frank Fielding admits that he is relishing the chance to take on Derby County this evening, having endured "mixed emotions" against them in the past.

Bristol City goalkeeper Frank Fielding has admitted that he is hopeful of getting the better of Nottingham Forest once more this evening.

The 27-year-old won three out of three against the Reds when playing for arch-rivals Derby County between 2011 and 2013.

It has not been all happy memories for the Englishman, however, with a straight red card being issued to the shot-stopper early on in 2011's East Midlands derby encounter at the City Ground.

Speaking ahead of Friday's clash between City and Forest, Fielding told his side's official website: "Getting sent off in the first 60 seconds against them is probably the one I want to forget the most.

"It was so quick, straight from the kickoff; I didn't even bother getting a shower after the game! Luckily we still won the game. I've had mixed emotions and ups and downs against Forest.

"It's a good rivalry and I did tend to get the right results against them when I was at Derby, so hopefully that can be the same at Bristol City. I'm looking forward to it. It'll be a difficult game but one we have prepared well for again. As a whole squad we need to start getting results."

Fielding joined Bristol City on a permanent deal in 2013 after spending three years at Derby.
