Blackpool are reportedly due to speak to Dundee United boss Peter Houston over their managerial vacancy after the Scottish club gave the green light for discussions.
The Championship outfit are looking for a new head coach after Michael Appleton, who moved to Bloomfield Road in November, left the club for a new job at Blackburn Rovers last week.
It is understood that the Seasiders made an approach to the Scottish Premier League side, who have given permission to Blackpool to hold talks with Houston, according to Sky Sports News.
Houston has been at the helm of Tannadice Park since 2009.
