Valencia agree terms with French forward Kevin Gameiro, and must now discuss a transfer fee with Atletico Madrid, according to a report.

Valencia have reportedly agreed terms with French forward Kevin Gameiro, and must now discuss a transfer fee with Atletico Madrid.

Gameiro, who joined Atletico from Sevilla in the summer of 2016, has scored 27 times in 82 appearances for the Madrid giants over the last two seasons.

The striker only started 11 La Liga matches during the 2017-18 campaign, however, and his future at the Wanda Metropolitano has been called into question.

According to AS, Valencia forward Marcelino is a huge favourite of Gameiro, and personal terms have already been agreed with the former Spanish champions.

The 13-time France international, who has also been linked with Lyon, has previously represented Strasbourg and Lorient in his home nation, before spending two years with Paris Saint-Germain ahead of a move to Sevilla in 2013.
