Aston Villa owner Randy Lerner is expected to clarify his future after the club's final Premier League game of the season on May 11.
The American businessman is rumoured to be considering selling the Midlands outfit after buying a 60% stake at Villa Park in 2006.
According to Reuters, Lerner will release a statement following Villa's match against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday to announce his plans for the future.
Paul Lambert's side retained their top-flight status at the weekend courtesy of a 3-1 victory over Hull City.
The Scottish boss recently insisted that he wants to stay at the club even if Lerner decides to sell up.
