Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is reportedly yet to join his Ghana teammates for November's World Cup 2022 qualifiers due to injury.

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is reportedly yet to link up with the Ghana squad for November's fixtures due to injury.

The former Atletico Madrid man missed the weekend's 1-0 win over Watford due to a tight groin, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles deputising well in his place.

Partey was due to take part in Ghana's World Cup qualifiers with Ethiopia and South Africa this month, but the Evening Standard reports that he has not yet joined his international teammates.

The report adds that Partey is set to miss the contest with Ethiopia as he aims to avoid exacerbating the problem, but he has a chance of lining up against South Africa on Sunday.

The 28-year-old had started the Gunners' last six Premier League games before missing the win against Watford, scoring his first goal for the club in their 3-1 success over Aston Villa.

Maitland-Niles received the man-of-the-match award for his showing in the victory over the Hornets, which led manager Mikel Arteta to heap praise on the 24-year-old.
