A slip-up from China's Qiu Bo has allowed David Boudia to claim a silver medal for the USA in the men's 10m platform at the World Series in China.
Boudia, a gold medal holder from the 2012 Olympics, put in a consistent performance across his six dives to post a final total of 534.70, including an impressive 97.20 for his final effort.
Qiu had been considered favourite for gold but made a fatal error in round three, where his armstand back 3 somersault pike earned him a score of just 42.00.
Top honour went to Qiu's teammate Yang Jian, who made the dive of the entire weekend with a stunning score of 123.00 for his final-round forward 4-1/2 somersault pike.
Qiu rallied in his final three dives but was unable to claw back the deficit and ultimately finished an agonising 0.20 points behind Germany's Sascha Klein for fourth place.
Team GB's Tom Daley was unable to defend his bronze medal from 2014 after failing to qualify for the showpiece event.
