Wolves are reportedly planning to reopen contract talks with Adama Traore, after rejecting multiple offers from Tottenham Hotspur for the winger in the transfer window.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have set their sights on offering Adama Traore a new contract, according to a report.

The winger was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur throughout the transfer window, with Spurs offering £30m for him on deadline day after previously seeing a loan offer rejected.

However, Wolves were not willing to listen to bids below £50m and managed to hold on to Traore, who has been at Molineux since 2018.

The Birmingham Mail states that now the transfer window has shut, the West Midlands club will look to offer the 25-year-old a new deal.

Traore, who has two years left on his current Wolves contract, has rejected multiple offers of an extension over the last 12 months, but the report adds that he is enjoying playing under attack-minded manager Bruno Lage and could change his mind.

However, the report also states that the Spaniard has ambitions of playing European football again after competing in the Europa League with Wolves in 2019-20, making the club's negotiating position the weakest it has ever been.

Traore has made 135 appearances for Wolves and scored 10 goals.
