Preview: Real Madrid vs. Celta Vigo

Sports Mole previews Real Madrid's bid to make it 18 successive wins when Celta Vigo visit the Spanish capital on Saturday.

The Real Madrid charge has shown little sign of stopping in recent weeks thanks to 17 successive victories in all competitions.

Carlo Ancelotti's side are at the top of their game domestically and in Europe, and there was time for the fringe players to get in on the act in midweek as Los Blancos cruised to a 5-0 triumph over Cornella in the Copa del Rey.

Two-goal hero James Rodriguez was the star of the show against Cornella, but he will be joined by his fellow stars this weekend as Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema make their return to action against Celta Vigo following a rare rest.

Madrid start the weekend two points clear of Barcelona and four ahead of defending champions Atletico Madrid, and they have the opportunity to pull further away of the former, who play Espanyol on Sunday.

Despite preparing to welcome back his regulars, Ancelotti could keep Jese Rodriguez in the squad as he looks to build on his promising return in the Copa del Rey.

Celta's cup run hit a stumbling block with a surprise 2-1 loss to Las Palmas, which extended their losing run to three games.

After resting a few of his key players, Eduardo Berizzo is expected to make a number of key changes, with Nolito returning to spearhead the attack against the leaders.
