Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal wants to sign midfielder

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal reveals that he will be looking to add a creative midfielder to his squad during the summer.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has revealed that he will be looking to sign a creative midfielder during the summer.

The Dutchman has spent more than £150m on seven new players since taking charge just over seven months ago, including Angel Di Maria, Daley Blind and Ander Herrera.

Van Gaal has played striker Wayne Rooney in an attacking midfield role recently in a bid to add more creativity to the side.

When asked if signing a creative midfielder should be top of his agenda this summer, Van Gaal told BT Sport: "Yes, of course."

United face Preston North End in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Monday evening.
