Manchester United are reportedly set to make a new bid for Ajax's Antony before the transfer window shuts, despite failing in their previous attempts to sign the forward.

Manchester United are reportedly set to make a new bid for Ajax forward Antony.

The Brazil international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford throughout the summer, but the two clubs have failed to agree on a deal.

Ajax's asking price has proven to be a stumbling block, and as a result, the player has started the new season with the Dutch club, scoring two goals in three games.

However, according to 90min, Ajax are preparing themselves for another bid from Manchester United before the transfer window shuts.

The report indicates that the Dutch champions are asking for €92m (£78m), but there is still uncertainty as to whether United will meet Ajax's demands.

As well as starting the new season in fine goalscoring form, Antony scored 12 goals and contributed 10 assists in 33 matches for Ajax last term.
