Fiorentina have reportedly accepted that they will have to sell Nikola Milenkovic this summer.
The 23-year-old's current deal with the Italian outfit is due to expire in June 2022, and it is understood that the centre-back has signalled that he will not be penning an extension.
Manchester United continue to be strongly linked with the Serbia international, who has scored three times and registered one assist in 26 Serie A appearances during the 2020-21 campaign.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Fiorentina believe that it is 'inevitable' that the defender will be leaving the club during this summer's transfer window.
The report adds that Man United are 'already operational' when it comes to the Serbian, with the 20-time English champions firmly at the head of the queue for his signature.
Milenkovic has made 125 appearances for La Viola since arriving from Partizan in 2017.
