Liverpool 'have no plans to re-sign Philippe Coutinho'

Liverpool reportedly have no plans to try to sign Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho, who left Anfield just 12 months ago.

Liverpool have reportedly decided to remain out of any race to sign Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazil international enjoyed an excellent five-year spell at Anfield before opting to depart the Merseyside giants 12 months ago.

However, it has recently been claimed that Coutinho could look to leave Barcelona at the end of the campaign, with Manchester United said to be monitoring the situation.

Liverpool could have potentially held an interest in a reunion with the 26-year-old, but according to The Telegraph, Jurgen Klopp's side will not be making a bid for their former midfielder.

The report suggests that Klopp would instead prefer to focus on signing younger players during the upcoming transfer windows.
