Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that the absence of the suspended Jamie Vardy will force Leicester City to alter their playing style when the two sides meet.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that the absence of Jamie Vardy will force Leicester City to alter their style of play in Saturday's Premier League clash between the two sides.

Vardy remains suspended following his red card against Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this month, leaving the Foxes without their top scorer from each of the past three seasons.

Klopp acknowledged that Leicester would miss the 31-year-old, but warned that Claude Puel's side have other players capable of doing damage too.

"Jamie causes each teams problem with his style of play. Going in behind and over the shoulder and all that sort of stuff. That makes him different to nearly all other strikers in Premier League," he told reporters at his pre-match press conference.

"Him not playing will change Leicester style of play slightly but they have good strikers. [Kelechi] Iheanacho is a very good striker as well.

"You can see Claude's work is now paying off at Leicester. They have changed the style a bit. It is good football they are playing and are full of confidence especially after the last result (against Southampton)."

Liverpool go into Saturday's early kickoff sitting top of the Premier League table following a perfect start to the season which has seen them win all three games without conceding a goal.
