Mohamed Salah says that scoring goals collectively is "the most important thing" for Liverpool's front three, having fired the Reds into the Champions League final.

Mohamed Salah has insisted that the selfless nature of Liverpool's front three is behind their incredible goalscoring success this season.

The Golden Boot winner leads the way in terms of goals scored for the Reds this term, finding the net 43 times in all competitions since arriving from Roma last year.

Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have also played a key part for Liverpool, particularly in the Champions League as they have 10 and nine goals respectively.

Ahead of Saturday's final against Real Madrid in Kiev, Salah claims that putting the team first always come before any personal ambitions.

"The most important thing for us is to help the team to score goals," he told reporters. "It doesn't matter who scores. Winning games, getting points, that's the most important thing for us.

"As you can see, I've scored 10 goals in the Champions League, Sadio nine, Firmino 10, so all of us are the same. None of us is selfish or only wants to score. We try to help each other to score goals.

"Hard work has been the key for me. The most important thing is to maintain that level, to keep doing what I've done next season as well. Now we have a final, so we need to think only about the final.

"I believed [that I was capable of this form]. I was at Roma for two years, had two great seasons there and everyone told me to stay, but it was in my mind to come and be successful in England."

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the Champions League scoring charts this season with 15 goals to his name.
