Thomas Tuchel's side need a point to secure the championship.

Paris St Germain are hoping to seize a second opportunity to claim their sixth Ligue 1 title in seven seasons when they face Lille on Sunday.

A 2-2 draw with Strasbourg last weekend prevented them from retaining their crown in record-equalling time and they only need a point at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy to get over the line.

Neymar remains sidelined by a broken foot and Edinson Cavani is still struggling with a hip problem, but Kylian Mbappe is likely to be restored to the starting line-up.

PSG boss Thomas Tuchel said: "We use Mbappe too much. He has played nine matches in a row, always with the responsibility to score goals.

"The players need to be protected. This was the last chance to protect him. It is not possible to always play Kylian."

Lille enter the game 20 points adrift of PSG but with a comfortable cushion on Lyon in third place as they step up their quest for a Champions League place.

"I really like the Lille team – they are one of the best teams on the counter attack," Tuchel said.

"They have a lot of energy and talent, they are very reliable and consistent, and it's a big challenge for us to control the match."

Lille coach Christophe Galtier insists his players must show greater courage than when they lost 2-1 at PSG earlier in the season and also implored them to hold their nerve in the race for second place.

"Against PSG there are two kinds of groups – those players who are too excited and must be channelled and those who do not fully express their potential by going into their shell," Galtier said.

"We're on course for the top three. We need to play as we have done since the start of the season, but with more bravery than when we faced them at the Parc des Princes in the reverse fixture.

"Seven days from the end, I have to look behind in the table, because at the moment it is useless. There are 21 points left to be won.

"It is normal that St Etienne and Marseille think that they can still finish third or second. It's my responsibility to make sure that my players do not relax to keep this second place.

"If PSG are champions because they have taken a point against us, we will be happy with our point.

"But for us there is no goal to beat them to prevent them from being champions. In any case, they will be champions."
