Ipswich Town's Freddie Sears fit for Birmingham City clash

Freddie Sears shakes off a hamstring injury to be included in the Ipswich Town squad for tomorrow's game against Birmingham City.

Mick McCarthy has revealed that Freddie Sears is available for Ipswich Town's home encounter against Birmingham City tomorrow night.

The striker was forced to sit out the 1-0 win over Leeds United on Tuesday evening with a hamstring complaint.

However, McCarthy has revealed that the January addition from Colchester United will be "fine" to face the Blues at Portman Road.

"Freddie's fine. He couldn't have played at full tilt on Tuesday and I needed everyone at 100%. If he'd have gone out and tried at 100% and ended up getting injured that would have been no good because we've still got 39 or 40 games left," the Ipswich boss told the East Anglian Daily Times.

Sears has scored four goals from his six Championship outings this term.
