Boxing Day's Championship predictions including Hull vs. Blackburn

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Championship fixtures, including Hull City vs. Blackburn Rovers.

Blackburn Rovers square off against Hull City on Boxing Day knowing that they will move joint-top of the Championship standings with victory on Humberside.

Meanwhile, Hull, who have a number of coronavirus cases within their ranks, head into the fixture sitting four points above the relegation zone.

We say: Hull City 0-2 Blackburn Rovers

While Hull have been in good form of late, we cannot ignore the uncertainty surrounding coronavirus cases. With that in mind, Rovers are justifiably the clear favourites and should have enough to claim a relatively comfortable win.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Huddersfield vs. Blackpool (Sunday, 3.00pm)

Blackpool are aiming to record back-to-back wins in the Championship for the first time since October on Sunday, when they travel to the John Smith's Stadium to face Huddersfield Town.

The home team are currently on a three-game unbeaten run which has left them sitting in 10th and two points behind the playoff positions, while Blackpool are placed in 13th spot.

We say: Huddersfield Town 1-1 Blackpool

Both teams enter this game after a positive result last weekend, and they are quite evenly positioned in the Championship table, suggesting that this encounter will be a close affair.

Blackpool are expected to have learned from the 3-0 defeat they suffered against the Terriers in September and that is not expected to repeat itself with both teams cancelling each other out this time around.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Luton vs. Bristol City (Sunday, 3.00pm)

Luton Town play host to Bristol City on Boxing Day looking for the victory which would get them back into contention for the Championship playoffs.

However, despite sitting two points adrift of their next opponents, 17th-placed Bristol City will move ahead of them in the standings with a win at Kenilworth Road.

We say: Luton Town 1-1 Bristol City

Both teams are far enough ahead of the relegation zone to play with a certain level of freedom at the weekend. Nevertheless, given their respective inconsistencies, we are backing a low-scoring draw to play out between two evenly-matched sides.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Middlesbrough vs. Nott'm Forest (Sunday, 3.00pm)

Middlesbrough play host to Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day with both clubs bidding to move into the Championship playoff positions.

While the teams sit in ninth and seventh place respectively, they have each recorded three wins from four matches ahead of the fixture at the Riverside Stadium.

We say: Middlesbrough 1-2 Nottingham Forest

With the opportunity to move into the playoff spots, there is pressure on both sides ahead of this contest. That is something which could prove beneficial to the visitors, and we feel that Forest should edge a competitive game in the North-East.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
