Heracles earn vital victory over ADO Den Haag

Heracles increase their chances of Eredivisie survival thanks to a 3-1 win away to fellow strugglers ADO Den Haag.

Heracles have boosted their hopes of Eredivisie survival with a 3-1 win at fellow strugglers ADO Den Haag.

Wouter Weghorst headed the visitors in front from a corner with just four minutes gone, but ADO drew level three minutes before half time as Mike van Duinen tapped home after goalkeeper Bram Castro had failed to deal with a cross.

However, Heracles got themselves in front again 10 minutes into the second period thanks to Denni Avdic's simple finish from six yards out.

The away side then made sure of their first victory in three league games with 23 minutes left when Iliass Bel Hassani nodded in after Brahim Darri's speculative effort came back off the woodwork.
