Chelsea are reportedly considering the option of selling Armando Broja to raise funds for the purchase of Nigerian international and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

Chelsea are reportedly considering the option of selling Armando Broja to raise funds for the purchase of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

Owing to a series of injuries, Broja has found it difficult to secure a starting role at Chelsea, featuring in just five games across all competitions this season.

The Albanian international is currently trailing behind Nicolas Jackson in the pecking order and faces the potential threat of slipping even lower, with Osimhen emerging as a key target for The Blues.

Chelsea, as reported by Football London, are now prepared to approve the sale of Broja, which could unlock additional funds for their pursuit of the Napoli forward.

The report adds that West Ham United might revive their interest in Broja if Chelsea are willing to part ways with him.

It is understood that The Hammers submitted a bid in the region of £30m and were on the verge of finalising personal terms with the player last year.

If Chelsea do end up selling this time, they are likely to demand a similar fee, considering the Albanian striker still has four-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.

Meanwhile, during an interview with John Obi Mikel earlier in the week, Osimhen hinted at a possible move to Chelsea.

The Nigerian international was instrumental in helping Napoli win the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years last season and has already notched up six goals in 10 matches this term.
