Barcelona 'weigh up summer move for Felipe'

Atletico Madrid centre-back Felipe emerges as a transfer target for Barcelona, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Atletico Madrid centre-back Felipe.

The 30-year-old joined Atletico from Porto in last summer's transfer window and has impressed for Diego Simeone's side this season, contributing two goals in 31 appearances in all competitions.

The Brazilian played both legs of his side's last-16 Champions League clash with Liverpool, meanwhile, and has only missed one European clash for the capital giants this season.

According to reports in Spain, the Catalan giants are weighing up an approach for the South American as they look to bring another centre-back to Camp Nou ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

Atletico, though, would allegedly demand that Felipe's full release clause of €80m (£74m) is met.

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have also been mentioned as potential suitors.
