Danijel Subasic: Monaco "have nothing to fear" against Arsenal

Monaco keeper Danijel Subasic admits that Arsenal are big favourites heading into this evening's Champions League tie against AS Monaco, but says his side hold no fear.

Danijel Subasic has warned Arsenal that AS Monaco hold no fear heading into this evening's Champions League last-16 tie at the Emirates Stadium.

The Ligue 1 outfit have reached the knockout stage of the competition for the first time in 10 years after finishing top of Group C.

Despite in-form Arsenal being seen as overwhelming favourites to come out on top across the two legs, Red and Whites goalkeeper Subasic is hopeful that his side can spring a surprise.

"You never know with knockout games," he told Goal.com. "You give your best, and even more, so let's see what will happen in first leg.

"They are big team with a great coach. Everything is in their favour, but we have nothing to fear. [We are performing] above all expectations considering the young team we have. Of course we will try to qualify for the Champions League again but the Europa League would be a success too."

Monaco are currently fourth in their domestic league having recovered from a slow start to the season, sitting seven points off third-placed Marseille with a game in hand over their rivals.
