Maria Sharapova has moved into the semi-finals of the Miami Masters with a scrappy straight-sets victory over Italy's Sara Errani.
Both players struggled to hold serve in an ugly first set, but it was the Russian who eventually came through 7-5.
It was a similar story in the second before Sharapova managed to close out the contest 7-5 after two hours and 30 minutes.
The third seed will meet either Jelena Jankovic or Roberta Vinci for a place in the final.
