Defending champion Marin Cilic has defeated second seed Tomas Berdych in straight sets in the quarter-finals of the 2013 tournament.
Both men were serving very well in the opening set and it was not until the ninth game that there was a break point, which Cilic fought off to hold.
Then with the first set heading into a tie-break, Cilic stormed into a 15-40 lead on Berdych's serve and took the set at the first time of asking.
In the second set Berdych held his serve comfortably throughout, but could not quite turn break points into breaks and had to settle for a tie-break.
However, it was the Croatian who was stronger in the breaker and he wrapped up the match 7-5 7-6[4].
