Wigan Athetic are trailing Fulham 1-0 at the break thanks to a header from former Latics favourite Hugo Rodallega.
Roberto Martinez's side started brightly, firing an early warning shot through Arouna Kone, which stung the fingers of Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer.
The visitors also carved out a few early chances, with Dimitar Berbatov latching on to a Damien Duff corner to force a save from Ali Al Habsi.
Al Habsi was called into action again just before the 20-minute mark when the Bulgarian striker lined up Rodallega, who forced the keeper into a reaction stop.
Berbatov was an ever-present threat, but couldn't find a way past the Omani shotstopper.
Fulham eventually broke the deadlock through former Wigan man Rodallega. Berbatov provided the cross for the Colombian to head a goal he neglected to celebrate.
Wigan almost equalised on the stroke of half-time through Jean Beausejour, but Schwarzer was equal to his effort to keep the visitors 1-0 up at the break.
