Massimo Luongo plays down Swindon Town exit talk

Massimo Luongo says that he is focused on Swindon Town's promotion push despite speculation of a move away from the club.

Australia international Massimo Luongo has cooled speculation linking him with a move away from Swindon Town before the end of the transfer window.

The Swindon Advertiser claims that the Robins turned down a £2m for Luongo, and the midfielder has suggested that his focus is on getting the club into the Championship.

Speaking after the Socceroos' Asian Cup final victory over South Korea, he told reporters: "Short term will be get my team (Swindon Town) promoted.

"I'm back there in four days so just focused on that and not worried about a move or anything like that.

"And on the other side I want to be a Socceroo for as long as I can as well."

Swindon are top of League One, ahead of Bristol City on goal difference.
