Everton will reportedly step up their interest in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Steven Pienaar when manager David Moyes returns from Euro 2012 next week.

Everton manager David Moyes reportedly plans to make a formal bid for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Steven Pienaar next week.

The 30-year-old South Africa international, who spent the last four months of last season on loan at Goodison Park, is said to be unsure of his future at Spurs.

Moyes has been at Euro 2012 on scouting duties, but he will return to his office on Monday and ask Toffees owner Bill Kenwright to sanction a bid for Pienaar, according to the Daily Star.

It is believed that Spurs value Pienaar at around £6m.
