Steven Pienaar is keen to establish whether he has a future in Tottenham Hotspur's first team.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Steven Pienaar is expected to hold talks with club officials next week.

The 30-year-old South Africa international spent the second half of last season on loan at Everton after finding Premier League appearances hard to come by under previous Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.

Pienaar, who is reportedly wanted by Everton on a permanent basis, is keen to know if he is likely to have have a role in the first team at White Hart Lane next season.

He told The Sun: "I need to know if I'll still be used by Spurs."

Tottenham signed Pienaar from Everton for a fee of £3m in January 2011.
