Tottenham Hotspur reportedly turned down an approach from Ligue 1 side Nice for youngster Harry Winks last season.
The 21-year-old made his full debut for England over the weekend as they scraped a 1-0 win in Lithuania, earning plaudits for his performance for Gareth Southgate's side.
Winks has become an increasingly important part of Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino's first-team plans since making his Premier League debut last season and has featured in five of his side's seven Premier League games so far this term.
According to the Daily Mail, Nice made an approach for Winks following his bow last year with a view to taking him on loan, but were rebuffed by the London side as they wanted to keep him under the care of Pochettino during his development.
Despite signing a new five-year deal in February, Winks is reportedly set to be rewarded with new terms that will see his weekly wage doubled to £40,000.
