Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy has joined Ligue 1 side Nice on a season-long loan.
The 25-year-old only joined the Foxes from Nice last summer, but he found first-team opportunities limited at the King Power Stadium, in part due to a troublesome ankle injury.
Mendy will continue his recovery from injury with Nice, where he made 121 appearances during a three-year spell before joining Leicester.
The Frenchman played in every game to help Nice to a fourth-place finish in 2015-16, and he will now return to the club for the 2017-18 campaign.
Mendy, who has made just nine appearances for Leicester across all competitions, could make his second debut for Nice against Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco after the international break.
