Harry Redknapp has described the last five years as a "nightmare" after he was cleared of two charges of tax evasion.
The Tottenham Hotspur manager spent almost two weeks on trial alongside former Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric.
"We've been pulled through it these last five years. This has been hanging over us," Redknapp said outside Southwark Crown Court.
"I'm really looking forward to getting home and seeing my wife Sandra. It really has been a nightmare. This case should never have come to court. It's unbelievable.
"The jury were unanimous there was no case to answer. I can go home now and get on with my life."
The odds on Redknapp becoming the next manager of England have been slashed following the not guilty verdict.
