Half-Time Report: Rangers leading against East Fife

Rangers lead East Fife 1-0 in their Scottish League One game at Ibrox thanks to Dean Shiels's early goal.

Rangers are currently leading East Fife 1-0 in their Scottish League One game at Ibrox this afternoon.

Dean Shields scored within the first five minutes to give the Glasgow side the lead. A corner kick fell to him just inside the box and he rocketed a shot low into the bottom corner.

Just a minute later, Andy Little received a booking for a dive inside the East Fife box.

Midway through the first half, some good play between Bilel Mohsni and Lee Wallace set up Fraser Aird on his way down the left-hand channel, but after turning his man, his shot was saved.

Just three minutes later, Liam Buchanan found himself free inside the box, but Mohsni was able to block his shot.

Buchanan threatened again in the 34th minute, but Nicky Law was the obstacle this time, blocking his shot.

In the last five minutes of the half, Jon Daly received a ball inside the box, the big striker doing well to evade two defenders, but he shot over the bar.
