Nottingham Forest defender Daniel Pinillos 'out for season'

Nottingham Forest defender Daniel Pinillos reveals that he has torn his anterior cruciate ligament, which means that he will miss the rest of the Championship season.

Nottingham Forest defender Daniel Pinillos is likely to miss the rest of the season due to a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.

Championship side Forest are yet to confirm the severity of the injury, but Pinillos said on Instagram that he had torn his ACL, which usually sidelines players for around nine months.

"Confirmed torn anterior cruciate ligament," Pinillos wrote. "No choice but to begin the recovery and to return as soon as possible and better than ever."

Pinillos, who has started 19 of Forest's 22 league games this season, suffered the injury in their 2-1 win over MK Dons on Saturday, the club's fourth straight home win.
