Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has revealed that he wants to sign two new strikers this summer.
Aston Villa's Darren Bent and Queens Park Rangers forward Loic Remy are two names to have been linked with the club in recent weeks.
"I think we might need two strikers," Pardew told the Evening Chronicle. "My competition in that area - [Papiss] Cisse, Shola [Ameobi], Gouff [Yoan Gouffran] and Adam Campbell - last season wasn't strong enough.
"In the Premier League, that's not enough. I need more than that."
Newcastle start the new season at Manchester City on August 19.
