After completing the signing of Georginio Wijnaldum, Newcastle United are ready to return to the transfer market with an offer for Marseille's Florian Thauvin, according to reports.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to the Magpies in recent weeks, with Steve McClaren's side reportedly having a bid turned down in June.
However, they are now willing to offer 25-year-old Remy Cabella in exchange for Thauvin in a bid to prise the winger away from the Stade Velodrome, reports the Daily Mail.
Cabella joined Newcastle from Montpellier for £12m last summer, but failed to impress in his first season in the Premier League, scoring just once in 21 appearances.
He did not feature in McClaren's first game in charge of the club, a 1-0 win over Gateshead.
