Millwall manager Ian Holloway has apologised to the club's fans after his side were beaten 3-0 by Reading on Saturday.
Goals from Pavel Pogbrenyak, Alex Pearce and Danny Williams gave the Royals all three points in the Championship clash.
Holloway told reporters: "I apologise for that. We had spells but got a bit nervous at times. We needed the first goal.
"I've always been a bit of a gambler when it comes to winning a game and we had no structure. That's my fault.
"In fairness to them, Nigel (Adkins) has really got Reading playing. We need to score more goals, definitely."
Millwall go to Burnley in their next league game.
