Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck agrees a fresh five-year contract with the club, according to reports.

Danny Welbeck has agreed a new five-year contract with Premier League champions Manchester United, according to goal.com.

The 20-year-old, who spent last season on loan with Sunderland, has featured regularly for United this season, scoring goals in both domestic and European competitions.

His representatives have reportedly held numerous discussions with the club's board over the last few days and both parties have agreed to a £45,000-a-week deal.

The striker is currently believed to be earning £15,000 at Old Trafford.
