Manchester City assistant manager David Platt has suggested that Carlos Tevez could still have a future with the Premier League leaders, despite the North West club's attempts to offload the striker.
The Argentina international was close to signing for AC Milan following a string of negotiations until the deal fell through yesterday.
"I don't know [if Tevez will stay]," said Platt. "Stranger things have happened. Unless the deal is right for the football club then it's not happening anyway.
"The circumstances have dictated that Carlos has been unavailable for us and therefore we have to deal with the players that are available."
Reports have suggested that Inter Milan may re-enter the race to sign the controversial hitman.
